Our life is more of failures and incongruences. Have you notice a rich man becomes happy with his life or a poor man who is contented? People want drama, a soap opera kind of story. They want to see other people suffering…they want detrifying! Slavery is normal as a given instinct of people because only then they can feel dominance. No one will be satisfied…no one will be happy, it is a human nature!

These are the common negative tendencies that you will encounter with people. Examine yourself with below questions to know yourself better:

  1. Are you one of the hypocrites, liars and deceitful of 2018 (Isa ka ba sa mga talipandas ng 2018)?
  2. Did you borrow money that leads you to commit estafa, just to show to the people on your hometown that you are well off (Puro utang ka ba at nakalimutan mo ng magbayad para mapakita lang na mayaman ka sa inyong lugar)?
  3. Are you envious and jealous that you belittle the success of other people, your immediate family, friends and relatives; that deep down your heart dictates that success should not be given to no one else but with you alone (Inggit na inggit ka ba na nasa kalooban mo at ang tingin mo na ang success ng iba o ng kamag-anak mo ay dapat lang sa iyo o dapat ay wala na)?
  4. Do you feel deprive always that you think the world owe something to you (Feeling mo ay deprive ka palagi at ang mundo ay may utang sa iyo)?
  5. Do you think you are spoiled brat that you rule the people surrounds you with your finger that only one compass of your hand they will follow you (Spoiled brat ka ba at dapat ang galaw mo ay lagi ng pabida)?
  6. When you reason out even on small thing, your tendency is to be angry just to be excused on your offense (Lahat ba ng katuwiran mo ay laging dapat may galit.)
  7. Do you know the word respect that you forgot to apply to your parents, in laws, immediate family and even your neighbors (Hindi ka ba marunong rumispeto sa magulang mo, kapamilya o kapitbahay mo)?

Check if the above questions are applicable to you, answer it truthfully to know what is really inside your conscience. Admittance is the key to create change, no admittance means no acceptance of one’s fault or mistake.

I will relate one story about our acquaintances in business. There is one lady who always surrounded with religious people. The rosary is being prayed especially every month of October as they have a grotto of Mama Mary on their yard. I remembered when Pope Francis visited her place, she was there waving a handkerchief with photos of praise. But this person hides a big secret, the money she used to build their house is the money she stole from her ex-boyfriend who is now in Canada. No one knows about it, her family member knew that it was loaned in the bank but it is not. Her ex-boyfriend before has a small business then portion by portion the money was sent to their hometown until she intentionally separated with him then got lost.

One day she called us crying, she said that her mother is going to be operated. She is asking about the advance payment for the license renewal, we trusted her plus we lend her the money for assistance. We found-out later that she bought an SUV in their hometown. Her mother was pretty much okay and not even sick (you can see the mother dancing-zumba in Facebook). Until now, she did not pay any amount borrowed from us and she did not renew our license.

We called her many times, but she simply said, “just leave a message as I am busy with my collection” even though there is nothing to be collected but she was only preparing for the birthday party of her housemates. From then on, we kept a distance.

She covers herself with lies, her promise is as good as nothing. She uses her family as an excuse to grab money from other people. We saw her one time by chance talking to her victim (for sure she did not see us). Her modus operandi is to appear good with other people and pretending to be caring by preparing a very good food to trap her victims. Her ways will be unplugged little by little, more people are going to chase her because of estafa. This lady is so dangerous and greedy, a perfect example of the person who has no remorse who sold herself to the devil.

With this story we shared, do you think hate is required to dominate? The answer is no but justice needs to be served. Ourselves need to recognize that not all dictated by our heads required to be followed. We need to check ourselves and be guided. I gathered some tips from Life Hack as a guide for my journey this year:

  1. Stop complaining and appreciate how lucky you are every day.
  2. Embrace loneliness and reinvent yourself in the process.
  3. Say goodbye to the people that don’t bring positive energy into your life.
  4. Throw of the TV and set internet controls.
  5. Pick one skill you want to cultivate and put all your effort into developing it.
  6. Commit to the goals you set and never look back.
  7. Sweat every day to boost your mood.
  8. Fail forward. Learn from every mistake you make.

People grab attention and grab literally the wealth of other people, but do we need to join them to succeed in life… my answer is no need and not required. We need ourselves to be prepared for eventualities, we only need to be simple because what we have now will be dust sooner or later!

Progressive Mind Campaign (Progresibong Utak Campaign) https://blogs.jerichosplace.com/2019/03/19/progressive-mind-campaign-progresibong-utak-campaign/ Tue, 19 Mar 2019 17:55:12 +0000 http://jerichosplace.com/?p=1844 There are thousands of “quotable quotes” or “hugot” lines that we can think of, but how these affects the mentality of individuals, their behaviors and personality. Are these quotable lines helpful in shaping opinions about you or just a way to create judgment on other people?

They said that the mind is its own place and itself, can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven. It means your mind has a free will to think of anything whether it is “right or wrong” even “good and bad” but to translate this into action is a different story that requires social responsibility.

I have made a research about “quotable quotes” on Facebook but I found the most intriguing lines in my inbox, not anywhere else. Some of my family members sent these “hugot” lines into my inbox. I have no idea of their intentions why they sent these quotable quotes, but one thing is for sure that they want to kill me with their words using the “hugot” lines. These are the “quotable quotes” I found that maybe you can relate:

  1. Supporting your parents financially is not a license for you to disrespect them…you will not be in your position if not from their sacrifices and love, respect your parents while they are alive.

  1. It is not important if your life is slowly progressing, as long as you are not doing any criminal thing that affects other people, keep your conscience clear while attaining your dreams.

  1. It doesn’t mean if your mother smile, she is happy…there are mothers who sacrificed hard for the happiness of their children even hiding their own true feelings!

  1. Why some people who have just taste a dime of gold turned-out to be arrogant, they are digressing and deceitful as if they will retain being rich forever!

  1. All people are entitled to their happiness so do not intrude on to their lives, even you are the smartest person…you still have no right to step down on others as you also have limitations.

I am thinking if words can kill then most of the people use the quotable quotes as a tool to kill each other. We know “word” has a power and limitation. It can hurt or break over their desperation for certain circumstances, a way to run over the issue.

Some people believe that through quotable lines they can smile and can move forward to their lives. Others can simply tell their feelings and angst straight to the point then resolved the issue right there and then. It is the personality of the people of who they are as a person during the stage of problems or because of the culture on how they are brought-up.

One of the leading psychologists said, “learning would be exceedingly laborious, not to mention hazardous, if people had to rely solely on the effects of their actions to inform them what to do.” This is how we launched the “Progresibong Utak Campaign” or Progressive Mind Campaign to correct notions about certain behaviors. This is for the people to realize that the words have power to translate things into action proactively. The quotable quotes or “hugot lines” can be a tool to work progressively for the enrichment of community, so use your word and time wisely.

Build a small business, be an entrepreneur – my “hugot” line!
