His name is Latheef Poolakkal, popularly known as “Latheef” from his colleagues and friends. Born on 30th of April 1987 in Ponnani at South India. He is familiar with languages of Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Arabic and English. Currently working with Petrofac International as Deputy Transport Coordinator at LFHO Project with ten (10) years total transportation experience from Kuwait and India. He knows the extensive route and traffic system on both territories. He worked with different companies and individuals including the former Indian Parliament Member-Mr. C. Haridas.

Latheef collections consist of paper monetary bills, coins, newspapers, post stamps and sim cards. During the presentation, he brought two (2) full folders alphabetically arranged money collection from different countries labelled into a customized template with name, flag, map location and basic information of the country. It is amazing to see that he has a collection of INR 10.00 with serial number patterned to his birthday and rarest collection of a star note of INR 100 with a value of INR 5,000 in the market. This is only the sample that he showed us, but he has vast collections from his country.

My attention was caught on some unknown territories that exist, a money note from a territory called “Guernsey” and “Jersey”, that based on my research are self-governing dependent territories of UK that are the Channel Islands found between England and France. The “Guernsey Pound” is widely used as a legal tender on the bailiwick of Guernsey and freely circulated in Jersey with the same acceptance of “Jersey Pound” for both dependent territories but both notes are not accepted on the mainland UK.

With his collections from 209 countries, he still needs to have a money notes from Panama and territory of Zanzibar to complete his collections. Zanzibar is an island in Indian Ocean that had once part of British territory but now a part of Tanzania. The currency being used in Zanzibar is Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) but US Dollar is widely accepted. His collections are product of research from small unknown territories up to major countries of the world. A numismatist and a member of International Bank Note Society (IBNS) with different awards and distinction from different award giving bodies.

With good performance on his jobs, he received award under Petrofac HSSE and training on Kuwait Defensive Driving Course at Proximity. He also has training course on Warehouse Management System Training at Al Tayer, UAE with numerous performance awards from Al Tayer Company. The grilling sessions were shown for two (2) days from 25 to 26 of March 2019 at PPB 8 Bring It On (YouTube Channel of PBB). Different questions are thrown by the ex-housemates and house players to show to the “madlang people” or Philippine televiewers and netizens the real personality (taong nagpapakatotoo) behind the faces of the six (6) PBB Housemates namely Lou, Andre, Yamyam and Fumiya or popularly called Team LAYF together with Shawntel and Thea.

All the six (6) housemates got the hardline questions from their relationship with fellow housemates and question of being worthy as Batch Big 4 Winners. Almost of the questions thrown to them are personal ranging from incident encountered or light misunderstanding inside the house that tend some of them to cry the grilling to ease the tension. Other housemates stayed alone after the face to face encounter with ex-housemates and house players to reflect their situations.

I will share to you the highlights of the grilling starting the tandem of FUMIYAM (Fumiya and Yamyam) who both rejoiced after their grilling sessions to prove of their funny and bubbly real characters. The LOUDRE (Lou and Andre) got emotional as they were grilled on the status of their relationships with one another. Shawntel was asked for being in love with Hani (ex-housemate). Thea admitted being selfish for her aspirations that lead to the question for using Kim (ex-housemate). The top six (6) housemates answered the questions with full honesty even putting themselves at the edge in front of the frying eyes of “madlang people” or televiewers and netizens, but all of them carry the situation well.

This is to recognize the presence of ex-housemates and house players of 1^st Adult PBB Otso who put themselves inline of bashing and bullying after throwing the grilling questions to the top six (6) housemates. Their roles and efforts are necessary to show the real attitudes of the top housemates for the viewers to be guided on their choices. Their characters are necessary to ensure that only the worthy PBB Otso Big 4 Winners are selected. They maybe look antagonists infront of the housemates during the grilling sessions, but they are pure and honest on their roles to ensure everyone pressed the “red button” so that they can raise the amount for their chosen charity. Although they failed to attain their objective as only Yamyam pressed the “red button” to pay forward for the slot given by his spiritual brother Fumiya (please enlighten us with back story on why Fumiya give way his slot to Yamyam by your comments below) but they are successful to give the viewers the real ambiance of the housemates.

During the two (2) days grilling sessions also started the online voting for the Batch Big 4 selection that ended today, 27 March 2019.  The three (3) deserving housemates are selected through sim card voting to be with Yamyam who won the household challenge for the 1^st PBB Otso Adult edition. Winners are confirmed by Big Brother (Kuya) starting with Yamyam, Lou, Fumiya and Andre or Team LAYF.
