The world was in shocked when the news on Notre Dame Cathedral spreads online. Many people cannot believe that the popular tourist spot in Paris was engulfed on fire. The cathedral is a significant symbol of France as it stands under 850 years restoration and rebuilding. It stores centuries collection of priceless artifacts, artwork and Catholic relics.

Artifacts such as Crown of Thorns and Tunic of Saint Louis are some of the collection that have been saved. Some of the large paintings known as Mays De Notre Dame are affected by smoke but not heated by fire, it will be displayed in Louvre Museums in the coming days.

More donations are flooding for the rebuilding of the iconic structure that draw inspiration from Disney movie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. French billionaires are making move to donate more than a hundred million Euros like L’Oreal with Bettencourt Meyers family, François-Henri Pinault of Kering Group of Companies, Bernard Arnault of LVMH, Patrick Pouyanné of Total and many more who provided pledges in support of rebuilding the symbol of France.

Notre Dame De Paris is a medieval gothic cathedral situated on an island referred to as “Ile de la Cité” or epicenter of Paris. “Ile de la Cité” is one of the two (2) remaining islands in the Seine within the city. The Notre Dame De Paris is a popular edifice which means “Our Lady of Paris”. The first stone was laid on 1163 by Pope Alexander III then completed on 13th century and rebuilt again due to different fires and political turmoil of France. Around 13 million of tourists are flocking the central area on yearly basis.
